INDUSTRY NEWS Smart and accurate non-contact measurements: TQC’s PowderTAG for coating thickness analysis At Surface World 2015 TQC introduced PowderTAG, a powder coating thickness gauge that measures before and after cure. Noncontact, nondestructive and on metal substrates such as steel or aluminum, but also on MDF. PowderTAG measures smart pressure of rising quality standards producers use the PowderTAG to ensure consistent quality for their customers. A sophisticated combination of infrared and photo thermal measurements guarantee precise and repeatable coating thickness measurements. X-Ray Fluorescence Measurement Goes Mobile The new FISCHERSCOPE® X-RAY XAN® 500 from Fischer offers a mobile coating thickness measurement option particularly useful for large specimens or difficult-to-reach locations.
