PRODUCTS & PROCESSES Polyplas Engineering Ltd enjoyed a successful exhibition at the Surface World Show 2015 Polyplas Engineering Ltd have been delivering high quality plastic fabrications across a wide range of industries for 30 years. The finishing and plating industry still remains the company’s core customer base. From single, bespoke CNC machined components to full plating lines with integrated fume extraction systems and pipework etc, which are manufactured to customer requirements, also offering a full on-site install and maintenance service. PolyPlas Engineering have many years of experience in manufacturing a variety of products such as: Rectangular and Cylindrical Tanks, Tank Linings, Bunds, Drip Trays, Pipework, Fume Extraction Systems to DW/154 standards, Machine Guards, Wet Benches and many more bespoke and varied fabrications. All thermoplastic tanks are designed and manufactured to BS EN 12573 and for GRP tanks BS EN 4994. PolyPlas Engineering also manufacture complimenting steel fabrications, such as access ladders, walkways, workplatforms etc and GRP open floor gridding. The company work with a large variety of plastic materials, primarily polypropylene, but also PVC, PVDF and polyethylene. For many years PolyPlas Engineering Ltd have supplied customers, both domestically and internationally, travelling the full length of the UK and European countries to install fabrications and equipment. Many fabrications we have been shipped to locations all across the globe from the USA to the Middle East. The quality of fabrications is of paramount importance and all the company’s Plastic Fabricators are time-served tradesmen and additionally are qualified and certified to BS EN 13067 in all disciplines of Plastic Welding certified by CSWIP accreditation. PolyPlas Engineering also provide a Tank Inspection Service which has proven very useful 64 for many new and existing customers, often satisfying HSE requirements for storage of hazardous chemicals. Plastic tanks may have been installed previously, which do not meet BSEN standards, or are not frequently inspected, exposing operators to increased risk of accidents, increased costs and potential prosecution. PolyPlas Engineering has extensive experience in helping industry mitigate these risks by providing an inspection service and reporting of potential risk issues. Regular inspection reduces unforeseen risks and costs to negligible levels and demonstrates good practice in your duty of care. Should a full inspection be required the inspector will make a detailed examination to provide written findings, qualified opinions and unbiased recommendations on fitness for purpose on all tank performance criteria including design and construction, materials, maintenance and predicted life-span. A written report, including photos internally and externally, will be issued which demonstrates your good practice in maintaining safety compliance. Remote camera inspections and ultra-sonic thickness testing are also carried out, along with high frequency spark testing of existing welds and joints. With their recent successful exhibition at the Surface World Show in September, the business is taking great steps into the future, continuing to invest in new machinery, with the purchase of yet another larger CNC machine, the recruitment of another new apprentice, further training and investment for employees, December 2015 and also recently recruited a new Business Development Manager, Thomas Oldale, to build relationships with the existing extensive customer base and develop new potential customers.
