Barnaby Lane began with the idea to
make high quality design accessible to
everyone, furniture that is simple yet
a focal point and doesn’t cost a fortune
or send you broke. In curating and
designing our products we hold dear
the principles of sleek, minimalist
design. We strongly believe that less
is more. Sustainability is important to
us so we only use certified recycled
wood in our products. We love the
thought that a piece of wood can
have many lives and that one day it
could end up in your home - imagine the
stories it could tell.

I am a Melbourne based furniture maker
living and working in Brunswick East. I
have a small workshop where I design
and build everything by hand. From the
ground up my goal is to create the
most sustainable products available.
This includes everything from the design
and material choices to the construction
techniques and finishes. All of my
products are made entirely from locally
sourced recycled timber and are designed
responsibly, ensuring that excessive
usage and waste is minimised. I use
very traditional joinery techniques so my
products will last a lifetime and I don't
use any toxic glues or finishes in the
process. It's all about keeping things
simple, sustainable and strong.
