DEPARTURE LOUNGE // AUTUMN 2019
“My favourite part about travelling to a digital
nomad retreat is the different types of people you
meet, who are as career-orientated as
they are passionate for travel”
Then Find Your Pack hosted a trip in
Cape Town. It was a little pricey for South
African digital nomads, but, again, it
included all the logistics and organisation.
All I had to do was book a couple of
business meetings in the Western Cape

travel writer, and that hurling is an actual
national sport for the Irish (Youtube it,

in Barcelona and in Cape Town I met a
bio-engineer and researcher who took
her Boston meetings at 9pm to stay up to
date with the workload.
Fellow participant Eli Solidum summed
it up best: “My favourite part about
travelling to a digital nomad retreat is
the different types of people you meet,
who are as career-orientated as they
are passionate for travel. As a long-time
backpacker, it’s often hard to balance
work and fun, but these retreats help
support the work element.”
If your job allows some flexibility,
perhaps it’s time to take Dolly’s advice and
choose to make a living.
