ORIGINS
Le Touessrok has, in various guises,
welcomed guests for 40 years. Over the
years it’s grown from a simple beachside
restaurant with chalets for hire to one
of the leading resorts on Mauritius. Over
the decades it’s seen ownership and
management change hands a few times,
but today it operates under the global
Shangri-La umbrella.
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
Situated on the east coast of the island,
Le Touessrok is spread across a peninsula
that overlooks the picturesque bay of Trou
d’Eau Douce. This unique location offers
three individual beaches to enjoy and sea
views from every restaurant, bar and room.
It’s a 30-minute drive from the colourful
market at Flacq and is just 10 minutes by
boat (shuttles run throughout the day) to
the ever-popular Ile aux Cerfs. The main
Le Touessrok boathouse is situated here,
although some non-motorised activities
are available at the resort itself.
