Whether you’re filling your Instagram feed or indulging
a passion for photography, the wide world is filled with
incredible places simply begging to be immortalised in
pixels. Here are 10 you shouldn’t leave off your shot list.

CUBA
With Cuba fast opening up to the world,
this once-cloistered Caribbean island has
become a magnet for curious travellers.
And with its trademark time warp to the
‘50s, there’s no shortage of shots to bag.
The gleaming polish of cherry-red vintage

Chevvies is a must for your portfolio, as are
the local fishermen on Havana’s sea wall, or
Havana’s faded architectural grandeur.
But with photogenic scenes on every
corner, that’s a problem in itself. How many
Chevvie shots does one shutterbug need?
To avoid repeating every other #InstaHavana
feed, pick an angle that grabs you and
spend time searching for unique images. A
photo-essay on the lectores who read to
the island’s famed cigar rollers, perhaps?
