Hôtel de Glace in Quebec
is the only ice hotel in North
America. Overnight guests enjoy a glass
of chilled local cider – in a flute made of
ice, of course – before being shown to
one of the hotel’s 45 rooms. Guests have
access to the hotel’s outdoor spa and
sauna, while the premium suites boast
their own fireplace.
Day visitors are also welcome, with
a behind-the-scenes tour showcasing
how the hotel is built and maintained.

warm sleeping bags and a hearty dinner
of Scandinavian delicacies (anyone for
whale?) will keep you warm at night.
In summer, guests sleep in traditional
gamme huts, with husky-wagon rides and
king-crab fishing expeditions on offer.
