5 5. THE TEENAGER It’s not that they’re unhappy to be there, it’s just that… well, it’s a phase. A complicated one. You see, The Teenager doesn’t really want to be at the resort, not because there’s anything wrong with the place, but because they have to be there. They’re too young to do their own thing over the holidays, and too old to want to hang out with their parents and siblings all day. It doesn’t matter how good the snorkelling is or what the colours of the sunset are, The Teenager is stuck in a limbo of self-imposed boredom and existential frustration. It’s not their fault; it’s hormonal. The only thing that can cheer The Teenager up is another teenager. But of course they wouldn’t be ca
