A-Z EARPHONES iPods, MP3 players or music devices of any sort with earphones or headphones are NOT allowed, as these are a safety hazard and hinder your interaction with runners, race officials and marshals. Running with these items could result in disqualification. You will be disqualified if you fail to listen to a marshal or traffic official as a result of wearing earphones. EXPO The Expo will take place at the CTICC, Convention Square, 1 Lower Long Street, Cape Town, and will be open during the following times: • Wednesday 28 March 2018 – 10h00 to 19h00 • Thursday 29 March 2018 – 10h00 to 19h00 • Friday 30 March 2018 – 09h00 to 17h00 As the official race number collection point for the Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon, this expo attracts more than 55,000 visitors over the three days. This is the largest running-related lifestyle expo in the Western Cape and offers visitors all sorts of interesting stands, with everything there is to know about road running and related elements under one roof. Over the years, it has become much more than just a running expo, and now includes top sporting brands, apparel, supplements, outdoor adventure sports and sporting tours, to name just a few. It is an opportunity for all sports enthusiasts to experience the latest trends in the running and sporting arena and to be part of the exciting atmosphere leading up to the world’s most beautiful marathon. FLAGS The carrying of national flags is permitted provided they are wrapped around the athlete’s shoulders and do not cause an obstruction or create a safety risk. No flagpoles are permitted. Any entrant running with a pole is subject to disqualification and ban from future Two Oceans Marathon events. The only runners permitted to have poles for the event are the officially appointed athletes, e.g. pacesetters and #GOGREEN ambassadors.
