Beauty secrets in a bottle...
Vaseline is more than just a lip balm. The uses of Vaseline (or if you prefer, petroleum
jelly) are endless. I am going to share a few beauty secrets that are all contained within a
tub of petroleum jelly. Vaseline is the Aladdin’s Lamp of beauty but instead of rubbing
it and getting only 3 wishes you get many more!
• Thicker and longer eyelashes- you simply put some vaseline on your finger tips and
rub it onto your eyelashes and leave it overnight-voila your lashes will start growing
longer and thicker.
• Softens dry/cracked elbows, knees and heels - Vaseline is a skin softener unlike any
you have ever seen before, just put some vaseline on your skin and you will never
struggle with dry/cracked skin again!
• Dry Cuticles - Vaseline helps to soften your cuticles so that you will not have sore fingers and your nails will always look beautiful even without nail polish.
• Longer lasting perfume - Don’t you just hate it when your perfume scent fades? Well
for longer lasting fragrance simply put some vaseline on the areas where you normally apply your perfume on and then follow up with your perfume over the vaseline
and your scent will stick around much longer.
• Smoothes and soothes skin - We all dread the feeling we get after shaving our legs at
times. That sore, itchy and uncomfortable feeling. Vaseline once again comes to our
rescue. Apply some vaseline on your legs and rub it in nicely. (You do not want to add
too much though).
• Kissable lips - What many of us use Vaseline for! A lip balm but did you know that
you can add old make-up powder in the colour of your choice to your vaseline and
create a lip gloss?
