Local Talent Local Girls Awarded Bursaries To Attend AMTC Two young talented girls from Gauteng have been given the opportunity of a lifetime to travel and perform in Walt Disney this December. During the recent SATCH National Championships, two girls were awarded bursaries to attend the AMTC Convention in Orlando, Florida. Baby Angelic Legodi (17) from Lombardy West will participate in the singing and drama categories while Refilwe Maitisa (19) from Lonehill will showcase her singing talent on the international stage. Baby Angelic and Refilwe both received bursaries from the Business for Empowerment Trust. The B4 Empowerment Trust was established in 2008, primarily to provide an independent and expertly administered, managed and monitored vehicle to organisations for channelling their BEE Socio-Economic Development to BEE-qualifying beneficiaries. Former Miss South Africa, Melinda Bam, is the Trusts’ Goodwill Ambassador. ‘This is an amazing opportunity for us to spread our wings and make our country and our community proud. We want to thank the B4 Empowerment Trust and SATCH for this amazing opportunity,’ says Baby Angelic. ‘We will be performing with some of the most talented young people from all over the world and this is our opportunity to show them that South Africans have what it takes,’ says Refilwe.
