• Ridgeview was recently recognized as a five-star hospital by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services ( CMS ). CMS assigns star ratings to hospitals nationwide based on its performance of more than 100 measures across five quality categories — mortality , safety of care , readmission , patient experience and timely & effective care . Ridgeview was among just 13 Minnesota hospitals to receive the five-star Overall Hospital Quality Star Rating for 2022 .
• Ridgeview was named as one of America ’ s Best Hospitals for Obstetrics by the Women ’ s Choice Award ®, America ’ s trusted referral source for the best in health care . The award signifies that Ridgeview is in the top 4 % of 4,729 U . S . hospitals offering obstetrics . Ridgeview ’ s Birthing Center was honored to help families welcome 1,418 babies in 2022 .
• Ridgeview ’ s Waconia and Chaska hospital campuses ’ designation as Acute Stroke Ready Hospitals ( ASRH ) by the Minnesota Department of Health ( MDH ) was renewed . Among other criteria , the ASRH designation requires an Acute Stroke Team available 24 hours a day , seven days a week at the Waconia and Chaska hospital campuses .
• Ridgeview and Twin Cities Orthopedics ( TCO ) announced plans to jointly develop a new Orthopedic Institute on Ridgeview ’ s Chaska Campus . Combining world-class services with groundbreaking technology in a state-of-the-art facility , Ridgeview and TCO ’ s shared goals include achieving high quality in-patient care , improved outcomes and an exceptional patient experience . The new Orthopedic Institute is scheduled to open in fall 2023 .
