Looking for a cool escape without all the snow ? Skate on into the Waconia Ice Arena ! The city of Waconia and the Waconia Hockey Association have been teaming up since 2008 to bring area residents a top-rated ice arena and respectful skate community , conveniently located across from Waconia High School at the corner of Oak Avenue and Community Drive .
From open skate events and instructor-led skate lessons to thrilling Rock-on-Ice performances and recreational adult broomball , the top-rated arena can accommodate all of your skating needs . Representing a joint effort between the city of Waconia and the Waconia Hockey Association , the arena has offered healthful fun on ice to skaters of all ages and abilities .
The rink also serves as home ice to Holy-Family Waconia High School Girls ’ Hockey , the Waconia Hockey Association and Waconia High School Boys ’ Hockey . Bleachers lining the rink can seat up to 650 spectators , and those looking for a warmer glimpse of the action can take in games from the heated comfort of the mezzanine . The arena even offers opportunities to rent out the ice and facilities for a thrilling birthday party or other event .

For a truly Minnesotan experience , residents are encouraged to brave the hearty winter weather and enjoy their outdoor ice skating rink located at the west end of the ice arena . Outdoor skate enthusiasts will appreciate the warming house , just steps away from the rink , to lace up their skates and take the chill out of the air after a fast-paced game of pickup hockey or a family skate .
There is also an outdoor ice rink at the ISD 110 sports complex , which was constructed in 2019 . The ISD 110 rink is also open to the public .

Established in 1994 , the Waconia Hockey Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing an enjoyable and educational ice hockey experience for youth in Waconia and the surrounding cities .
