NALA LIAISON REPORT
Alright Summer … bring it on!!! I’m ready – or as ready as I will ever be! The deck is power-washed and stained, and I got a new “boy toy” to play with! (Get your mind out of the gutter … he’s a 14 year old buckskin gelding! LOL) When I’m not working, running off to the NALA Conference, or getting the necessary house chores done (vacuuming/dusting, laundry, baking, general picking up), I plan on spending the vast majority of my time either down at the barn or in the saddle!
Speaking of the NALA Conference …. The stage is set! July 11-13 in Scottsdale, AZ, is where you will find me and few hundred other paralegals soaking in all the learning, hitting all the seminars, viewing the association displays and vendor booths, and networking with people from all over the country! I am super excited!!! Not so much about going to Scottsdale in the middle of July but about the conference! There is still time for you to make your reservations and book your travel to go …. And you DO NOT have to be a NALA member nor do you have to be a CP to attend the conference!!! The conference is a unique experience that you will remember forever!!! AND, for those of you who need hours – this year there are 13 CLE credits offered in 25 educational sessions! In addition to the regular conference, NALA is offering a paralegal technology workshop on the Sunday following the conference which is an additional 4 CLE hours covering Advanced Excel, Advance Word, E0Discovery Software & Tips, and the Latest Trends in Cloud Security. I am pouting because I am unable to attend this fantastic extra session but it is going to be wonderful!
SAVE THE DATE AND START MAKING PLANS TO ATTEND! Next year, the conference will be held at Harrah’s Atlantic City, NJ, from July 9-11. Mark the date on your calendar and, if at all possible – PLEASE plan on attending! This is the year Melissa Hamilton will be sworn in as the new NALA President and I would love to see a very strong North Dakota delegation attend.
I will continue to send you all the emails about the upcoming Webinars from NALA as they come to me. Quite frankly, I wish I had been taking in a webinar or two over the weekend instead of staining the deck! WHEW!!!
