What is your educational background?

I graduated from Kenmare High School in May of 2014. I graduated from Bismarck State College in May of 2016 with my Associates in Arts. I completed my Paralegal Certificate from St. Cloud University this October. I will be graduating from Dickinson State University in the Winter of 2018 with Bachelors in Business Administration and Human Resources.

How long have you been in the legal field?

1 year

Why did you decide to join the legal field?

I really liked how every situation is unique to the client and every day is something new to learn.

How have you benefited from WDALA?

I’ve made a lot of connections and friends so far through WDALA.

What prior jobs did you have before you entered the legal field?

I was a Customer Service Representative at Gate City Bank for two years.

What is the best advice you have received?

Slow down and take your time (with everything).

What have been your biggest accomplishments in life?

Graduating from Bismarck State College; receiving my Paralegal Certificate; owning my own apartment and paying my own bills; and marrying my best friend next Fall

What is your favorite movie and/or book?

My favorite movie right now is Moana. My favorite book is Lock and Key by Sarah Dessen.

Tell us about your family.

I have two younger siblings. One sister and one brother. Kennedy is studying communications in Grand Forks and Keaton will graduate from high school next year. My mom owns the flower shop in Kenmare and my dad farms south of Bowbells. I will be getting married to my fiancé next October. We have one cat and her name is Piper.

What are your hobbies?

During my free time, I like to do yoga, hangout with my friends and family, and take care of the small garden in my apartment. I also enjoy reading and playing the piano.

Tell us one thing about yourself that people might be surprised to find out.

I really don’t like pickles. The texture, nor the taste.

What is one goal you have set for the year and how do you plan to achieve it?

I plan to graduate from Dickinson State University next winter. I would eventually like to take the exam to become a Certified Paralegal. I would also like to specialize in one area of law and take the exam for the specialization. As of right now, I’m not sure what the future holds, I’m just taking one day at a time.
