Juniors:

This is the year to start (if you haven't already) applying for scholarships. You don't want to go into your senior year with the pressure of struggling to find scholarships for the first time and deal with the other pressures of school and college admissions. Also, speaking with college reps coming to the school can help you learn more about your college choice and the scholarships available at their colleges.

Seniors:

College is expensive, and you are going to need help to pay for it. If you haven't started applying for scholarships by now, this is your last chance at the high school level. Invest your time in your own future. Apply for as many scholarships as you can. Pay attention to deadlines. Make sure you are providing enough time to get the references you need. Many scholarships are available online. Don’t forget to continue looking for scholarships while at college, especially your freshman year. Your local community programs, and college will have many available. Apply!! You never know what your chance is unless you apply!
