Forest Park Beach opens on Saturday , May 27 ! Come for the sheltered pavilions , fishing pier , boat launch , walking , volleyball , grilling , fire ring , concession stand , sailing , kayaking , paddleboarding and great times .
Open Mic Night at the Beach : Tuesdays , June 20 , July 18 and August 15 at 7 p . m . Free . If you play an instrument , read poetry , dance or are in a play and need a relaxing , comfortable environment to practice in front of others , come out to the Fire Circle at the beach for Open Mic Nights ! All ages are welcome .

The City ’ s Public Works Department is hosting “ Meet the Fleet ” and invites kids and adults to climb aboard and explore a variety of trucks , other vehicles and construction equipment . Movie at the Beach Christmas Countdown : Friday , June 30 at 8 p . m . Free . This year , “ The Santa Clause ” will be shown and will remind us that Santa Claus is always watching ! ( He might make a special appearance before the movie to remind you ).

Did you know about Activator Music Academy ? It is the music school which operated in the lower level of the CROYA Student Union . The Academy offers a variety of affordable music programs to local youth AND adults . Activator Music Academy also directs the CROYA Music Initiative , which includes the state-of-the-art Recording Studio , Live Performance Venue and CROYA ’ s annual music events like Battle of the Bands , Lake Forest Day Jam and Super Jam .
