Fun Fundamentals is a personalized
review and extension of the
groundwork skills necessary to be a
successful reader and writer. Each
child will have a tailored set of
activities designed to reinforce and
strengthen key skills in decoding,
comprehension, and written
composition.

inspirED Reader & Writer: Caldecott Award Book Club
The Caldecott Award annually
recognizes the most distinguished
American picture books. In this Book
Club, students will use these award-
winning works of literature to bring
their reading and writing skills to the
next level. Specifically, they will focus
on inferential and critical-thinking
skills and creating descriptive
narrative compositions.

Creative Writing: Staycation Stories
Not taking a vacation to a tropical
island this summer? No problem! In
this course, students will learn the
key elements of a great story and
create their own illustrated books
with a sprinkle of sunshine. No plane
ticket required.
