The Mad Science Secret Agent Camp is a fun journey into the
world of detection, spy science, and forensics. Campers will
examine the science behind the spy tools made famous by the
world’s greatest spies! We will reconstruct activities using scientific
methods and use the science of cryptology to send and decode
secret messages. Kids will get a chance to see what can’t be seen
by the naked eye and will follow in Sherlock’s steps to learn what
tracks can tell us! Join the Mad Science Bureau of Investigations to
help foil a burglary using state-of-the art security techniques!

Space the Final Frontier
Journey with us 65 million years into the past to learn about
tyrannosaurus rex, brachiosaurus, triceratops, plesiosaur, and many
more in our “Prehistoric Adventures” camp! We will learn about
dinosaurs: how they lived, how they died, and how archaeologists
can learn about them now. Through a variety of engaging
activities, entertaining lessons, and educational and interactive
games, your children will be able to pursue their passion for
paleontology in our week-long camp.

jump into hyperdrive with the Millennium Falcon? In our space
camp, you can learn all the essentials you’ll need for when our
technology advances to the point when faster-than-light space
travel is finally possible. Our lessons will journey through our
solar system and beyond, through the Milky Way, and to the outer
reaches of the 13 million light years that make up the observable
universe. We’ll cover astronomy and constellations, and maybe a
little bit of science fiction!

In the age of technology, sometimes it’s nice to go back to the
basics. In our “Mechanical Wonders” camp, kids will have
an opportunity to build and work with their hands, exploring
movement with traditional mechanical construction techniques.
This camp will introduce kids to a variety of skills and concepts,
many of which will encourage creative thinking and have useful
applications in the real world. Join us for this week-long camp
to imagine, plan, explore, communicate, tinker, and create! A
materials fee of $15 payable directly to Friends of Scientopia is due
on the first day of this camp. This fee covers materials used in the
projects that the student will be able to take home.
