Poverty and the Brain
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This is not just a review of Ruby Payne from your undergrad. This is an
overall awareness of how poverty effects the brain, development, behavioral
struggles, educational access, and the innate struggles that may present in
the classroom. What are some of the supportive methods we as educators
can put in place to help support students and families succeed in a public
school setting? Join us in the session to find out!
WHAT TO BRING:
Please bring a laptop or tablet and your preferred method of notetaking
supplies.
