Book Study: Mindsets in the Classroom
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
I CAN learn anything! I CAN know anything! I CAN be anything! Research
has shown that having a Growth Mindset results in higher test scores,
improved grades, and more in class involvement. It is key to motivate
students to believe in themselves and achieve anything! Join this book study
and take away ideas to use successfully in your classroom. Optional
opportunity for GT credit* by creating a lesson plan that shows higher level
thinking that must be submitted to the instructor at the face -to-face session.
NOTES:
You will need to purchase a copy of Mindsets in the Classroom ~ Building a
Culture of Success and Student Achievements in Schools by Mary Cay Ricci.
WHAT TO BRING:
Please bring a laptop or tablet, the book, and the optional lesson plan.
CREDITS: 6 CPE / Flex
* 6 GT if project is completed
