I got the pleasure of interviewing a very talented entertainer named Elski Staxx. He has been in the rapping industry for a long time. His family was well known and established in the Gospel Music Industry. He comes from a long family history of vocal artists especially his mother who had a major influence on him musically. He goes on to explain how his mother had her band when he was growing up. He would travel with her to all her shows. She now steadily sings in the church. His mother was the one who got him into music. He always wanted to perform as a vocal artist. When performing in a talent show, he knew he wanted to become a full time vocal artist and perform dance routines. One day at the lunch table, he started rapping and from that day he was stuck.
I asked him what goals he had for himslef and his responses was, " to be successful. Music is like therapy. I love music. I make music because I love it not because of the money." Elski is inspired by being the new kid and the underdog. He told me, Because they sleep on you andby the time you leave the stage they want to know you". He enjoys seeing the impressed looks on everyone's faces. He keeps his music real. When asked if he views himslef as a rle model he says yes tio his kids. "I try to influence the little ones; you have responsibilites and you can't do the same things you did when you were younger."
