Q: Who is your favorite model and why?
A:“Since I am an urban model, I would have to say I enjoy seeing Deelishis – Chandra Davis model. She is beautiful and she is built like a stallion. I enjoy her pictures, the different outfits she wears, and how she is just naturally beautiful.”
Q: What was your favorite modeling job and why?
A:“My favorite modeling job was doing a Mardi Gras event. I was a host with another young lady. All we had on was black tape in certain areas to cover up what needed to not be seen, lol. It was very different, but it was fun.”
Q: What are your strengths as a model?
A:“My strength is my interaction with my supporters. I don’t call them fans. I interact with them. They write me messages, they buy my posters, and they follow everything that I do. That’s the love I need to keep this movement going.”
Q: What are your weaknesses as a model?
A:“My weakness would be not working with the right people.”
Q: What fashion designer would you like to work with in the future?
A:“Hmmmm… well Polo Ralph Lauren came to my mind first, lol.”
Q: How would you describe your personality and working style?
A:“My personality is sweet and lovable. I’m raw with my emotions and I work hard. My work ethic is on 100 always when it is time for me to model. I am an easy person to work with. I try to keep an open mind.
Q: What is your experience in the fashion industry?
A: “I’m a very simple chick when it comes to fashion. I see all the name brand fashions out here and maybe one day I will have the pleasure of wearing the beautiful clothes I see one day. I haven’t done a fashion runway show yet, so maybe that will happen too.”
Q: What do you consider the most important facets of the fashion industry?
A:“I think it’s important for the fashion industry to keep being unique. Each fashion that is out now and the future ones need to make sure they speak volumes to us when they present themselves and their products to us.”
Q: Have you taken any training or courses to learn how to models?
A:“No I haven’t, I just do my own thing.
I do look at other models for inspiration but I have never trained.
Q: How do you handle the stresses of modeling?
A: “I meditate and light some incenses, lol. Really, it calms my nerves and helps me to relax after a photoshoot or music video.”
Q: Where would you like your career in modeling to lead you?
A: “I want my career to lead me to be one of the most successful and aspiring models to come out of VA” I have touched a lot of people and I know that is a big reason why I am successful.”
Q: Where do you like to shop?
A: “I enjoy shopping at Charlotte Russe and Rainbow. I love online shopping such as Greatglam.com and 3wishes.com. A lot of outfits I buy are for modeling purposes.”
Q: What is fun and rewarding about modeling?
A: “I enjoy meeting new people in my modeling career. I enjoy the recognition I get for my work and how those who work with me help me to connect and network with others in the modeling industry. I enjoy being able to be someone different when I’m in front of the camera.”
Q: What advice do you have for aspiring models?
A: “Be yourself, be careful, and give your all every time it’s time for you to put in work. Be inspiring to others. Smile and have a great attitude. That can make all the difference in the world when it’s time to refer you to another company for work.”
