Kenyatta shares the most common misconceptions about plus size women; men tend to think that because you are plus size that you are self-conscious and easy. Men will try to do less for you than what they would do for someone else. We are not where we were 14 years ago and have low standards.

What Kenyatta loves about the plus size industry is that women are becoming more confident, coming out of their shell, having fun, and trying new things. Women of all shapes and sizes are wearing bikini’s that used to be shamed but is now being celebrated. Enjoying being a woman and not letting size define who you are. In other countries, bigger is better. Honoring yourself and your worth, not letting anyone decide how you should live your life.

What Kenyatta does not like about the plus size community is that she does not like the feeling of how people think they can take advantage because they can see that more money is being spent. And people are seizing the opportunity to make money off of us. The plus size community should be aware of this and support true plus size business that have been creating plus size from the beginning. The older designers just now coming onboard just want your money.

Kenyatta told us that if she could sew she would be a fashion designer. She loves colors, patterns, and textures. She is a huge fan of Iris Apfel,

who is a fashion icon and super respected in the fashion industry. Nothing that Ms. Apfel wears makes sense, but looks stunning on her. She likes style that is funky and different. Iris Apfel is the definition of FABULOUS! Kenyatta would also like to see a presentation from the black community in the plus size industry. Kenyatta believes that we need to teach our young girls to love their bodies and not let their peers and television teach them inappropriately.

Kenyatta has succeeded in taking I Rock My Curves the Best to many different levels. In 2008-2009, she did life coaching called, "Living a Favored Life."
