Q. How did you get the background and skills necessary to run this type of business?

A. Honestly, I had no background, I am completely going off faith and prayer right now. I also do a lot of reading and research on the industry.

Q. Do you know who your competitors are?

A. Yes, cosmetics/beauty is a congested market.

Q. How do you market your business? How are people aware of your business?

A. Right now I am mainly marketing on social media, and I also participate in vending events to help gain exposure.

Q. Where do you see your business in the next year? In the next five years?

A. The next ten years? I see Queens Lyfe being in a better position and competing with my competitors within the next 5 years. In 10 years, I will be in stores near you.

Q. Do you plan to compete in the global market place?

A. If yes, how? If no, why not? Yes I intend too, that plan has yet to be drafted.

Q. How has technology, such as computers and the internet, impacted on how you conduct business?

A. I don’ think I could have gotten this far without them. They have made the process go a whole lot smoother and easier.

Q. Why is your business located at this site?

A. Currently we are only located at an online store.

Q. Whom do you seek advice from for your business?

A. The internet and my best friend.

Q. Do you have a business plan to operate your business?

A. Yes I do, I need to update it and refer to it more often.

Q. Does your business have a stated mission statement, the reason that this business exists?

A. Yes, and I continue to run my business by the words of my mission statement.

Q. Do you have employees? How many?

A. No, I do not. It is just myself running and maintaining the business.

Q. Do you do marketing for your business?

A. Yes, mainly on social media and through visual fliers.

Q. Can you describe your customers?

A. My customers are both men and women, that like nice quality products at a reasonable price.

Q. Why do your customers select you over your competitors?

A. My customer service is the bomb.

Q. Are there any ethical concerns that your type of business must deal with?

A. No, not at this moment.

Q. What is your management style?

A. Haven’t really developed one yet being that I don’t have any employees yet.

Q. What are the biggest issues for running this business?

A. Finances, being a startup all funding has come from my own pocket.

Q. What is the future for this type of business?

A. Cosmetics will never get dull or under saturated. People invest highly in their looks.
