Q: When did your parents notice that you were actually a highly gifted child?

A: When I was about 11 my mother gave my work to her best friend Tenesha Kirton (one of my mothers best friend)and asked her to look at my book. She then told my momma that I can write. My mom then turned to her childhood friend for help. Jason Beckett. And there you go. I am now an author.

Q: Why do you write and what do you mainly like writing about? Is poetry included in your write-ups?

A: I write Urban Fiction or Street Novels. I enjoy writing romance books, I’m not familiar with writing poetry so my books do not have any type of poetry in them.

Q: As a writer how do you get to that place to create these characters and how do you come up with your stories?

A: Honestly, there isn’t an exact place for me to come up with the things I do they just seem to come to me everywhere. I even dream about them and wake up in the middle of the night write them down before I forget them completely.

Q: Imagination is such a creative art and as a writer do you act out the story in your mind before writing it down and do you include yourself as the character to get an emotional connection to help you get through the monologue of creating it?

A: Yes, I re-play everything in my mind before it is written down on paper it’s easier that way. When I’m writing my imagination goes wild and I can picture everything in my mind as I am writing.

Q: How long does it take you to complete a book? Do you get writer’s block when doing them and how do you recover to get out of the blockage?

A: If I am very focused and determined to finish a book then it will take me up to two weeks to a month and a half to finish a book. Yes, I always get writer’s blockage

when I am trying to finish a book and it’s very frustrating. But, the only way for me to get out of it is for me to go to another book and start writing. As I am writing new ideas usually comes to me so I go back to the book and it takes me no time to finish it.

Q: How many books have you written and published to date?

A: I have written 27 books total so far but, I only have four books published at this time.

Q: Where do your inspiration thrive to continue being a productive writer?

A: I believe everyday life is my inspiration for writing my books. I go to school and see things that a teenager wouldn’t usually see then I come home to a family full of energy and love so I decided to do something with all of the knowledge that I have been given.

Q: Tell us about the books you've written so far with a quick summary of the titles and what they are about an insight for our viewers?

A: The Daddy's Legacy series is all fiction and it's about an 18-year-old girl who has never wanted for anything due to her father being a huge drug lord but things go left when she is told that her father has passed away.
