Revenge Spotlight : Black Rat ( 2010 )

This is the most gory movie on this list , and a fun way to deliver revenge in a creepy , over-the-top way . The story is simple . Five friends are invited to a school after hours , where a girl in a huge rat head mask stalks them . The story behind the film is sad , but the deaths are hilarious enough to make up for the typical overacting that many of the characters seem to show . However , prolonged flashbacks and jittery cinematography take away from what the film could have been . There ’ s nothing wrong with a bad horror film done right , and Black Rat ’ s sound design enhances the moments where the audience needs to be scared . Grab a couple of friends and dive right into the madness that is this movie .

There are not a lot of television shows that can bring the horror genre something new and exciting , but Harper ’ s Island is certainly a nice addition that can get you hooked with the plot . As the wedding of Henry and Trish grows closer , their naive guests begin to die one by one as strange events happen on the island . Time begins to run out as secrets are revealed and all is not as it seems with the wedding guests .

T . V . Spotlight :

Harper ’ s Island ( 2009 ) While at times this show can be cheesy and some of the jump scares aren ’ t always in the best places , the diverse cast of characters leaves you wondering who the killer is until the very last episode . Twisted , daring , and with a little bit of revenge sprinkled on top , I can ’ t imagine a better series to binge-watch while you ’ re home alone . Plus , at least one character dies every episode , so you ’ ll be left in suspense until the very end .
