This is my beautiful ancestor altar. I have referenced both my spiritual and blood ancestors. That handsome man is my maternal grandfather. I also have
pictures of my maternal grandmother on the altar. They have both passed so there cremated ashes are also present in a small urn. I have referenced my
spiritual ancestors in Africa. The Sphinxes are present because I believe that Voodoo has its roots in Ancient Egypt. The figure with nails is called a Nkisi
Nkondi and it is from the Congo. The figure to the right of the Nkisi is a reliquary figure and it is holding a horn to call the ancestors.
