me to have these relationships so it kind of
helped my career. Rappin 4-Tay was at his
prime back then. He was hanging around
with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg plus Tupac with
the song they did “Only God Can Judge
Me.” Plus his relationship with Pac; all of
that, I kind of inherited so to speak.
SM: Right, I also want to mention the iconic
photo of Rappin 4-Tay and Tupac, they are
in the studio. I think Snoop Dogg is in the
photo I believe that was posted on your
instagram. HW: 4-Tay is on this like iconic
track “Only God Can Judge Me” which is
not a regular Tupac track. Tupac could have
did this on his own and not put anyone on
it. That was like homage. And 4-Tay is on it!
You know! When 4-Tay went to jail, Tupac
would shout him out. Their relationship was
heavy. I feel like everybody that was friends
with Tupac back then, kind of didn’t really
get their justice at all. I wouldn’t say Snoop
Dogg or any of them, Snoop and all these
other people moved up heavy and is still
eating. E-40 is still eating. The Outlawz
and everybody else was like just pushed to
the side. But now, these days, everything is
changing. I am just saying, I work in the land
of Old School so I had to ask myself, where’s
the money, why are only certain people
getting this much money and etc.
SM: I think a lot of people are just starting
to realize where hip hop came from. It was
that era. And I say that because that’s
the era that is still carrying a lot of music
today that’s still being played. These one
hit wonders that are on the radio right now,
I don’t think they are going to be being
played twenty years from now like Tupac
and Rappin 4-Tay.
HW: Oh ya, longevity. Some of this stuff dies
out like this new stuff. No disrespect to DJ
Mustard or YG or any of them. That’s the
youth, that’s this generation, but I am living
off of music right now that came out before
me. That pays my bills and everything so I
have to do research and study for this stuff
that I did not know about.
SM: Well it looks like you are doing a great
job! I think the game plan that you did in
deciding to push Rappin 4-Tay is working
really well for you guys.
HW: Rappin 4-Tay is already a featured
artist and hanging with him and soaking so
much game with him; like I know this man
through another level. He’s not a celebrity
to me or anything like that, it’s more like a
dad or uncle type thing. Like “get up, we
gotta go” type thing. We stay on the grind!
I give that man props! Last year we did
120 shows! That’s crazy! He’s 47. Snoop

didn’t do 120 shows last year. He did a
bunch of shows, don’t get me wrong, he
did a bunch of major big things but you
know, this man Rapping 4-Tay is out there
like an independent. He is an independent
artist! He is out there really grinding and
shit. Doing these big shows, small shows!
Whatever it is Rappin 4-Tay is always down.
Actually I am changing it up this year. I will
do more shows but I am working with many
other people. 4-Tay is only doing the big,
big things. Like working on the Tupac movie
right now, 4-Tay’s comic book will be coming
out this year, along with his new album.
Like I said I have a new single with Snoop
Dogg. It features me, Snoop Dogg, Battles
and 4-tay. That is coming out right before
the Grammys. We’re putting out a promo
flyer for it, I think tonight or tomorrow and
then we will be attending the Grammys. I
want to release it that week. We are picking
up the tickets to the Grammy’s on the 9th
of February right after the G-Eazy Tunnel
Vision movie premiere on the 8th. And
then of course I am doing the Cannabis
Cup on the 6th and 7th with Wiz Khalifa
and The Roots. 4-Tay will be
