We know trying to figure out how to afford a study abroad program can be daunting but we ’ re here to help . Our goal is to ensure that you have the support and resources necessary to make your dreams of studying abroad a reality .
Below are some successful fundraising ideas from our alumni :

A student to Switzerland made Swiss chalet gingerbread houses for the Christmas season and sold them to neighbors

A student wrote to her local newspaper asking to be their “ foreign correspondent ”; she wrote articles and blogged about her life abroad in Australia

A student to Sweden collected donations from her neighbors and in exchange sent them short cultural observation videos during her exchange

Students going to New Zealand organized a school dance as a fundraiser

Has your family hosted or volunteered with YFU in the past 6 months ? Are there any YFU alumni in your family ? If so , you are eligible to receive a $ 1,000 discount on your program tuition .

This discount is open to students applying to any YFU program . Grants will be awarded upon acceptance and verification of eligibility .
YFU is a non-profit organization with tuition-based programs . While tuition varies depending on your program and country of choice , it is helpful to know what your tuition covers :
