HIGHLIGHTS by Emma Hall
PEZ FUNDRAISING
Ayr Campus PEZ students
fundraised for the Little
Princess Trust and have so far
brought in over £100 – with
that number expected to rise!
Ayr’s PEZ students will also
be running a Santa’s Grotto
at a local primary school – we
can’t wait to see the pictures!
MICRO TYCO
Ayr Campus students
from various areas have
accepted the Micro Tyco
challenge! Micro Tyco is a
one-month challenge from
WildHearts in Action to grow
your entrepreneurial skills
and donate to the global
community.
WildHearts in Action website
states: “The money created
THE STUDENT VOICE: EDITION 3
from Micro-Tyco will then
be invested by WildHearts in
micro-loans to help the world’s
poorest people work their own
way out of poverty with dignity
and self respect.
As a result participants will
go from becoming dynamic
wealth creators to global ethical
investors. Micro-Tyco’s gift to
you will be the knowledge that
once you release your talents
the whole world benefits.”
Renaldo’s Ayr, Poundland,
Debenhams and Ayr Central
have donated towards the drive
in Ayrshire College, along
with hundreds of students
and staff. We can’t wait to find
out how much our budding
entrepreneurs raised!
