The big spring clean has long been a tradition in
households across the country. Our cleaning staff
certainly know a thing or two about keeping our
campuses spotlessly clean. Here’s a little tip from
the experts on a low cost alternative to expensive
cleaning products.
Vinegar is an ideal liquid for use around the home. It is
safe because there are no fumes or poisonous additives and
is inexpensive and easy to obtain. Cleaners you make up
for your own use are invariably more economical and safer
for you and your family.
Air Freshener
One teaspoon of baking soda in a spray bottle, add two
tablespoons of white vinegar and two cups of clean water.
After the foaming has stopped replace the spray top and
shake well.
Burnt pots and pans
Cover burnt area with equal quantities of water and
vinegar. Bring liquid to the boil, remove from heat and
soak overnight.
Drain cleaner
Make up solution of 200ml vinegar with 75 grams
