FIRST IN SCOTLAND TO ACHIEVE
PDA CHILDHOOD PRACTICE
Bricklaying students from Ayrshire College’s
Nethermains Campus attended the official reopening of Bridgegate in Irvine town centre
recently.
The opening of the historic, A-listed Trinity Church took
place as part of the transformation of Irvine’s Bridgegate,
where the students used their skills by line-pointing part of
the exterior walls of the church.

Ayrshire College students from the Kilwinning
Campus are the first in Scotland to achieve the
degree-equivalent Professional Development
Award (PDA) in Childhood Practice.
