Artists create with
TWO AYRSHIRE COLLEGE
STUDENTS are helping
people of all ages with
mental health needs express
themselves through art, at a
workshop class called ‘Brush
Strokes’.
Lyndsay Duncan from Coylton,
and Sam McMath from Troon,
are both on the same Art &
Design course at the College
36
and they work together to put
on workshops for the group
every Wednesday morning at
St Columba Church Hall in Ayr.
Brush Strokes also runs on a
Monday morning and offers
a relaxed environment for
people with mental health
issues to socialise and take
part in art projects.
Lyndsay and Sam were
inspired to offer their services
after enquiring to Voluntary
Action South Ayrshire about
“ They are given free reign to think up
and deliver fun workshop ideas.”
