//Reaching Your Potential Ashley Linwood HNC Early Years Education and Childcare Ayr Campus “After redundancy from Woolworths, I was left considering what to do with my future. When I was younger I had been in the Girls Brigade and Beavers, and I’d always been good with babysitting my nieces and nephews, so I thought I would find out more about childcare as a career. Coming to college for the first time, I was really nervous, but all the lecturers have been so supportive, especially Heather, my Curriculum Leader. It was thanks to her personal support and encouragement that I have progressed so well. She was inspiring, helping me to overcome doubts, giving me confidence and self-belief. Being at college, I have learned so much, from improving my organisational skills to implementing activity plans for children. During my course, I volunteered to work at the college nursery during my summer break. It was an amazing experience, with friendly staff, and great children.
