AYR CAMPUS HIGHLIGHTS AYR CAMPUS HIGHLIGHTS by Emma Hall EPILEPSY ACTION Student Lisa Hardie (and classmates!) raised funds for Epilepsy Action on behalf of her partner John Davidson. Over a year ago, John suffered a major seizure and was scheduled for his first diagnosis appointment at the local seizure clinic 12 weeks later. Six weeks after his initial seizure, John had a second seizure where his heart stopped for 19 minutes which has left him severely brain damaged. John’s partner Lisa Hardie (and their beautiful daughter Laila, born the day before John’s first seizure) organised an event at Ayrshire College’s Ayr Campus to raise funds and awareness for Epilepsy Action. Lisa feels that if the diagnosis waiting time had been shorter, John’s life could be a lot different now. Lisa plans to continue campaigning for this incredibly worthwhile cause. Lisa and her classmates raised an incredible £709.42 for Epilepsy Action – well done everyone! Lisa and her classmates raised an incredible £709.42 for Epilepsy Action - well done everyone!
