Student Association Advisor : Charlotte Mitchell
The Ayrshire College Student Association is a prominent part of student life .
Charlotte ’ s role is to support the work of the Student Association to ensure that the Student President , Student Vice President and the Executive Committee have the information , knowledge , training and resources they need to run a successful and effective association .
Charlotte also deals day-to-day with students who may have ideas for fundraisers , projects or voluntary placements but don ’ t know where to start . It is Charlotte ’ s job to link up students with other college teams as well as outside agencies .
“ This year my priority will be to support the association in developing and implementing a long-term strategy and to ensure that the association ’ s legacy is carried on for the benefit of future students by assisting in the continuation of long-term initiatives .”
Student President : Holly Bates
Holly Bates was a Working with Communities student at Ayrshire College and was Student Vice President across 2015 / 16 .
Holly is delighted to be the lead contact for many students looking to engage with the Student Association .
She decided to enter the race to become Student President for 2016 / 17 as she wanted to continue to improve the student experience at the College . She is aiming to carry on where she left off as Vice President and is looking forward to assisting new and returning students to the College .
“ I ’ m a person who wants to help others , give others the capacity and empowerment they need to reach their goals . I have a responsibility to help others now and give something back . If I manage to help just one student fulfil their full potential , I ’ ll leave my term happy .”
