Assistant Principal for Academics. The following guidelines
will be used with the protocol as described above:
1) Teachers and coaches will understand that a student’s
initial meeting with the teacher or coach is a necessary
and vital step to this protocol. Most issues will be
resolved with this meeting.
2) Email can be used to clarify an issue, but face-to-face
dialogue is generally needed to resolve a conflict.
3) If issues require taking the discussion to the levels
beyond the teacher or coach, then all appropriate
persons to the issue will be invited to attend the
meetings at the higher level.
This avoids
misunderstandings.
4) Administrators will typically abide by this protocol for
classroom and athletic issues unless special
circumstances require the administrator to deviate
from the plan.
5) Communications among students, parents/guardians
and staff pertaining to the issue are to remain
confidential unless permission is granted to share the
information with others.
6) Saint Ursula Academy staff are expected to respond to
a student or parent/guardian communication within 24
hours; however, there may be circumstances that do
not allow that to happen.
