INTERSCHOLASTIC ATHELTICS
St. Ursula Academy offers a wide variety of sports
opportunities for the student body. To participate in any
sport, the student/athlete must be an Ohio resident.
ACHIEVEMENT
St. Ursula Academy has won nineteen (19) State Team
Championships in the past nineteen seasons, (Cross Country
in 2006; Swimming ’93, ’94, ’95; Volleyball ’93, ’94, ’95,
’96, ’97, ’98, ’01, ’03; Soccer ’91, ’93, 2007, 2008; Field
Hockey 2010; and Golf ’94, ’97) as well as a Volleyball
National Championship in 2003. SUA teams in all sports
have been extremely successful. The number of students
participating in sports has reached an all-time high.
OHSAA: Sports sanctioned by the Ohio High School
Athletic Association (OHSAA).
GGCL: Sports recognized by the Girls Greater Catholic
League (GGCL) include sports where at least four (4) of the
six (6) divisional schools play that sport. All sports teams
not sanctioned by the OHSAA are considered “Club Sports.”
