For instance, if it’s Italian you’re after, Little Italy on Goodramgate always has great reviews, as does Il Paradiso del Cibo on Walmgate With meals starting at £7, it offers authentic Italian cuisine and a great atmosphere at similarly good prices. York’s pub culture means that you don’t have to go far to find hearty, well-priced pub food, and Stonegate Yard always has great reviews from students. For the discount-friendly among you, both Revs and the Slug and Lettuce offer halfprice food on Mondays, with a delicious duck pizza in Revs (it really is!) costing just under £5.
