In May of 2014, YWCA Alaska’s Board of Directors passed an
expansive resolution to eliminate the gender pay gap in the
State of Alaska by 2025. We were the first business to endorse
the EconEquity Initiative.
We continue to work toward balancing inequality in leadership
and career opportunities through our Women in Leadership
Empowerment and Diversity (WLEAD) team. We host monthly
WLEAD Brown Bag Events, where Alaska professionals and
our partners share their wisdom about leadership, diversity,
inspiration, and innovation.
