Yung Steezie

SMM : You just dropped the visual for “Depression” what was your inspiration behind the visual and track?

Yung Steezie : Yung Steezie is a man from the hood that was born to be a king.

Yung Steezie : The depression song came off my new album DEPRESSION and it's a lot of people who suffer from it but scared to speak on it so I'm speaking 4 everybody who lives with depression.

SMM : Why did you name your new album “Depression”?

Yung Steezzie : When people listen to me I want them to understand it's real life. My struggle is just like everyone elses so I just want them to relate.

SMM :What’s next on the agenda for Yungsteezie ?

Yung Steezie : Next 4 me is to keep building my brand and keep spreading my music over the globe. Next year I want to be one of the top artist in the game.

SMM : Any special features on this album we need to know about?

Yung Steezie : I got a lot of special features but on my albums I like to tell my story so I keep it mostly solo songs. But I got songs with artists like Buck, Starlito, Mmg, Project Pat and more.

SMM : Does your family support your music career?

Yung Steezie : My family been supporting me since day 1...I started rapping at 8 and they showed me that I really had a gift I just used to rap 4 fun. Til they said I can be 1 of the best.

SMM : We see you are from Nashville, TN / How do you feel about the local music there?

Yung Steezie : Nashville is cool but I'm on a bigger scale. Nashville is local I always think global.

SMM: What sparked your interest in music and did you get your start?

Yung Steezie : I love music... Listening to 2pac made me want to rap. I just used to freestyle all day everyday even in class. Teachers was pissed all I did was beat on desk and write raps no work. Lol.

SMM: Are you signed with a record label or still an independent artist?

Yung Stezzie : Had talked to roc nation last year but I'm on some independent shit. I rather be in control of my own destiny.
