SMM: How did you get started in poetry and how does it reflect your music ?

Slimm Bay'B ; I remember in 3rd grade, I made a speech titled "My Bothersome Sister". I won a award and recited it in the cafeteria in front of the whole school, That moment made me begin writing poetry. I think that reflects alot in my music because every song is like a mini story.

SMM : Why you think education is important if you want be a hip-hop artist?

Slimm BAY'B : I think education is very important as any type of artist, there are certain things that you can get from school and apply it to your music. After all it is a business and should be treated as such!

SMM: Whats were the challenges of being the only female in the all man hip-hop group named New Jack City?

Slimm Bay'B : Being the only female artist in an all male rap group was challenging, I booked the shows, photoshoots, ect. I created and designed both mixtapes. I managed all social media and promotions, I was the engine holding the car together. Needless to say, going solo is definitely worth investing that same effort into myself.

SMM : What can we expect from your solo album in 2016?

Slimm Bay'B : -I'm working on my mixtape, you can definitely expect a whole new vibe than people have heard in the past with the group, look out for that very soon.

SMM : What is your first love, modeling or music and why?

Slimm Bay'B : look out for that very soon.

-My first love is music. Modeling is so contemporary. Modeling definitely helps with stage presence. With both you have to get in character and make your audience believe in you.
