On Father’s Day this year, at the Shift-S3ctor Pikes
Peak Airstrip Attack event in Colorado Springs,
Colorado, Aghakhani and the Steven Racing team
arrived with a stable of cars ranging from a
McLaren 650S, Porsche 918 Spyder and the unique,
modified Veyron, formerly owned by an F1 driver.
In scorching temperatures reaching over 100
degrees, Aghakhani initially took out the McLaren,
but a balky engine prevented it from getting up
to speed. When the tune up couldn’t be corrected
after an hour or so of tinkering, the youngster
and his father decided to break out the Bugatti
and go after a career-best speed.
