which is why I MC a lot less
and I’m focusing a lot more
on the talk show aspect
lately. One has to master
their trade,I think that
when you try to become a
“jack of all trades” you di-
lute your brand and no-
body knows what you are
known for. You want some-
one to ask, “Oh, I am look-
ing for the best modera-

Oprah! What would you advise an
upcoming tv personality on
how they can amass such a
following as you have and
overall success?
You want to be known for
what you are passionate
about and you want to stick
to that, and I think in Zim-
babwe I’ve been constant
for 5 years in what I am
known for. Trevor Noah
How is the reception on
your new webshow The Ru-
vheneko show and what
chal-lenges have you faced
in trying to bring the show
to the people?
So far so good! That dias-
pora has been amazing, I
must pay special tribute to
them. The challenges of
course is accessibility, liv-
ing in an African country
and doing some-thing
online, means there are
some people who don’t
even know what you are
doing
because they don’t use the
social media platforms that
we use.
This is a trap! lol. Honestly,
we are getting there but
right now unfortunately for
many there is freedom of

Anele Mdoda (as a bonus of
course!)
What do you enjoy doing
besides being a tv mogul?
I love spending time with
people that make me
happy! Work is so stressful,
by the time I switch off I am
really ready to let loose and
I just want to be with peo-
ple that make me happy,
that make me laugh, from
strangers to friends and
family. I just love good con-
versation that’s authentic,
genuine and also chal-
lenges my mind or stimu-
lates my brain and Travel-
ling! Any chances I get I
love to just travel and
drown myself in music.
In Zimbabwe I would ad-
vise an upcoming TV per-
sonality to start a TV show
that doesn’t exist already.
Don’t try to repeat some-
thing that is already on the
market be-cause people are
always desperate for some-
thing new and fresh. Com-
pletely think out of the box
and don’t try to be some-
one else, you must become
the best version of yourself
and really look at the mar-
ket and look at the gaps.
There are so many gaps
when it come to TV pro-
grammes, Talk shows and
News in Zimbabwe as a
whole, that there are so
many things that one can
do instead of just saying I
want to be more like
“nhingi”.
What can we expect from
you this year and future?
Do you think journalists and More, always more! Trust-
