Having had a few personal encounters with the Iron Lady of Media I have always likened her to Za- inab Badawi and I foresee her growing to such great heights. This month Street Peeper is celebrating the girl bosses and who else better than Ru- vheneko . I had the exclusive honour of interviewing the role model for most modern day women. Ruvheneko is one of seven children. She grew up in Ha- rare, but is originally from Murehwa – although her fam- ily roots are in Rusape. She was born on 15 September 1988 to David Parirenyatwa and Choice Parirenyatwa. She launched her career as a stu- dent at University Of Cape Town (UCT). She joined the university's ra- dio Station when she was in my second year as a Current Affairs Talk Show host. Can you tell us who Ruvheneko Parirenyatwa is? Ruvheneko Parirenyatwa is a proud proud African women who is pro women empower- ment. She is self motivated and driven by passion, love and happiness. When I was a student in High School, I wanted to study Law, however, when I went to uni- versity and I got the opportu- nity to see the world and ex- pose myself to new ex- periences.I fell in love with media so much that in my sec- ond year at UCT I joined the university’s radio station. My style is very unique to my- self, which works for me and sometimes against me.
