She went on to release her debut singles at the age 13 African Beat and Party time and was inaugurated as the Child Line Ambassador . At age 17 . She went on to release two singles Sango and Tonight . In upper six at 18 Tamy released her first album " The 18th Rollercoaster " which saw Ndibereke rising to top of the charts .
Beginning of 2017 she got nominated as Best Female Artist at the Nama Awards . Soon after she released single with Takura and Dobba Don titled Beautiful Ndozvandiri produced by the Amazing Jerry Spirit Fingers which once again topped charts . In July Tamy went on to release her latest single to date titled Ndyeke which was produced by Chiweddar young local producer from JP studios .
Tamy believes “ Being a woman means being a pillar of strength to those around you , it means being a fighter because society and nature has seen to it that women be deemed the lesser sex . It means being a Hey Craig , working twice as hard as the male to prove your relevance in social structures and hierarchies .
Being a woman is beauty in itself . The way i was created , the way i look and carry myself is something many but most importantly i , myself appreciate . She also says “ The 21st century woman is much more recognised in societal structures and is being empowered day by day , with so many girls seeing through their education and venturing into careers that once were meant for male species . I for one am a female artist and its empowering to be recognised amongst other artists both male and female , young and old .”
Tamy highlighted that she is active in women empowering initiatives and said “ I have initiatives I ' m involved in . As it is I ' m working with Culture fund to bring awareness in local communities on Sexual Reproductive Health matters with 7 other young girls . Educating young girls in rural communities through different means , mine being more on the musical aspect but also brainstorming with the other girls on how to go about the project ”
“ My career has progressed on quite well . Obviously not without its hiccups and challenges but i thank GOD its working out well . I am honoured and humbled to be named one of Zim ' s power women . I ' m grateful to everyone who has realised the potential in me and acted upon it . I do hope and pray that i can inspire more women and girls in their different paths and walks . I pray i do live up to such a heavy title ”
My special story is basically my life in itself . I started off as a very young girl and I ’ ve grown to be where i am as an artist and as a young woman . I faced a lot of discouragement and rejection because i was really young , but i carried on and i managed to finish high school and still pursue my love for music . It wasn ' t easy trying to balance the two but GOD saw to it that it went well .
I still have a long way to go in life and as an artist . I ’ m still on a quest to discover who i am and challenges never stop coming my way . But im alive and still going . hats my story still in the making each day i live To the modern woman . Keep working hard and strive to be the best at what you do .
Whether its being a doctor , lawyer , artist , chef or mother sister . Be the best you can and realise your worth before anyone else can do that for you . Appreciate and compliment one another not do down on each . Above all pray
