She doesn’t help her own cause much. As a typical tortie, you’ll have to win her over slowly. When you do, though, she will make the best companion. It’s a lot for her to be around so many cats in our open cattery. At home she’ll be able to relax and open up. She has a sleek coat and gorgeous markings. She could probably live with another cat given enough space, but dogs and young children wouldn’t suit her. Take a chance on Taffy Apple and you won’t be sorry! Logan Male | 9 years old | Black and White How you doing? Me, I’m great! In fact, the folks here are surprised that I haven’t been snapped up yet. When people come to visit, I’m the greeter. I follow them around until they sit down and I’m the first one to plop down next to (or on) them. I even show my belly for some all-over rubbing. There are lots of other cats for me to play with here and that’s really cool. It only gets a little lonely at night – I’d rather have a person to snuggle up against. If you’re looking for a cat who will acclimate immediately, entertain constantly and love eternally, stop what you are doing right now and get over here before I go to someone else! Blue Belle Female | 2 years old | American Pit Bull Terrier Mix Hi, I’m Blue Belle and I’m a sweet girl! I was found in Villa Park and was taken to DuPage Animal Hospital. Now I’m here to find my forever home. My new family needs to have owned a dog before and they need to do some research on bully breeds. We’re loyal and loving and need continued socialization. I’m nervous around loud noises, therefore if I’m to live with kids, they need to be at least eight. I’m very energetic and need training. Other dogs might find this off-putting so I need to be the only dog. I would probably do fine living with a cat. I have a high amount of energy so if you are looking for a dog to take on all your adventures, I might be just the girl for you, after I get some training. Come meet me in person! Joanna Female | 2 years old | Beagle Hi, I’m Joanna! I’m very sweet but lack self-confidence. It takes me a little time to warm up to anyone new but once I do all I want to do is hang out with you. I need a home that is willing to research Beagles since we are so driven by our noses and like to howl. I would definitely benefit from obedience training. I’m not suited for apartments, townhomes or condos. I also need a family that will help me learn to play with toys, go on walks and do all the normal things that dogs do in a home. It would be best if you have owned a dog as an adult. Because of my initial reserve I need to live with kids twelve years or older. I’m reserved with most other dogs. This is probably because I have only ever been with my sister, Jolene. If you want two beagles, you can adopt both of us, but it’s not required. If you’re looking for a dog that you can guide into a fun, playful forever friend, I’m the dog for you! 3
