She donated two baskets of gifts, food and several Target gift cards. Madeline Daehnke of Downers Grove donated the $42 she received from her birthday to the animals at the shelter,to help buy supplies that the animals need. Debbie Radwanski of Downers Grove had a birthday and asked for donations for the shelter instead of gifts for her. She donated food and toys to the shelter. Ella Leathers The Avery Coonley School in Downers Grove held a Valentine’s Day dance and asked for donations for the shelter. They donated toys, paper products, bleach, detergent and $122. Eleanor Duda American House in Plainfield has an outreach program called “Cedarlake Cares.” The goal of the program is to give back to the community through outreach projects funded by money provided through the sale of craft items made by American House Cedarlake residents. The residents chose to donate $100 to the shelter. Danny Sherman of Bolingbrook turned 10 and asked for donations for the shelter instead of gifts for him. He donated dog supplies, cat supplies, shelter supplies and $27. Girl Scout Troop 70929 Eleanor Duda of Downers Grove turned seven and asked for donations for the shelter instead of gifts for her. She donated cat and dog food, toys cleaning supplie s and $25. Girl Scout Troop 70929 of Lemont donated a hand painted bench, $140 in Amazon gift cards and handmade dog toys.
