Stray Thoughts Spring 2017 Hearty Thanks! Christian Bortolotti of Elmhurst donated $57 and a dog toy to the shelter. The Early Act Club at Gurrie Middle School in LaGrange held a fundraiser and donated the proceeds of $26.35 to the shelter. Brenna The lab employees at Edwards Hospital donated $200 to the shelter. Your Designer Dogs.com held a fundraiser and collected food, supplies and $645 and donated it to the shelter. Heritage House Florist ran a Valentine’s Day Special. for every Stunning Beauty flower arrangement sold, they donated $5.00 to the shelter. They donated a total of $40. Rescare staff Mrs. Brinkman’s 4th grade class at St. James the Apostle School in Glen Ellyn put together adoption bags for dog adopters and donated them to the shelter. Each kit included a collar, bowl, food and/or treat sample and a toy. Brenna of Elmhurst had a birthday and asked for donations for the shelter instead of gifts for her. She donated lots of food and supplies. Gavin from Mrs. Brinkman’s class Emmylou Watson of Lombard had a birthday and asked for donations for the shelter instead of gifts for her. She donated paper towels, bleach, cat food, cat toys, soap and paper plates. The residents and staff at Rescare Downers Grove collected and donated food and supplies to the shelter. The employees at LaForce in Willowbrook held a cleaning supply drive and donated the items to the shelter. Emmylou Watson Lucia Knapp of LaGrange Park turned 6 and asked for donations for the shelter instead of gifts for her. She donated food and supplies to the shelter.
